Acid Oddity

I have just started to tentatively play with Acid Pro 5's midi abilities.
I get a soft synth set up, sort a midi pattern out and link everything up so that the midi is triggering the correct soft synth and chosen preset.

Everything works fine until I press stop and then play again...
The Soft synth reverts to the first preset of the bank. Every time
It also does it when the end of the midi pattern is reached and loops to the beginning. Every time !!
It does this for every soft synth I have used (Chamleon, Reaktor, Atmosphere...)

Does anyone have a clue as to what's happening and what steps I can take to resolve the situation !?

it sounds like it's receiving a program change midi message somehow. I often get that in Cubasis when I import a midi file, pain in the ass.

I've no clue what to do about it though..

That might be the answer, actually - the midi file I have used is imported. I'll have to try making one from scratch and see what happens.

well ive been messing with acid 5 for awhile and i find that sometimes you have uninstall ACID then the plugin thats giving you trouble..... i know some of the cheap plugins i have reset themselves after playing what i have sequenced (spacesynth by MHC and hpersonic)..never had a prob with atmosphere though so might wanna so a clean install of that..........the bottom line is that it could be a latency issue or acid is being the usual memory eater.


If anyone can help me thoug with a MIDI issue...... it may sound dumb but when you open a synth with multiple ports say like anything with a intakt player what are the extra busses for and how do i use them!!!! plz help
