Hi all,
I have just brought a pc second hand pre installed with cubase and mach5 but for the life of me I cannot seem to load any samples (wav) into mach5 i have the cubase manual but not the motu one and have been going round in circles for hours getting nowhere, it's probably bloody simple but if some one can give me a pointer to the basics it would be a great help..

Don't want to jump to conclusions but did you do license transfers for the software on that PC? If not you're going to have a hard time getting help, especially here. I don't know how you can prove (to the forum) you have legal versions but until you do I suspect nobody here will answer your questions. Second hand software is illegal unless you have gotten permission from the manufacture to transfer the license. Good luck!!! Welcome to KVR.
