Which host do you use on laptops?

I plan to use my laptop without a mouse, just touchpad+qwerty. Playing VSTis works fine with Trollo, but moving parts in my current sequencer (Tracktion) is very exhausting, and so is scrolling and zooming the arrangement.
I tried Ableton Live, but Live 3 doesn't have MIDI and Live 4 is a bit too bloated and CPU consuming for my system.
So which Host should I try?

Thanks for the fast reply.
I'll try Aodix, though it seems to be a little too sofisticated for live use (just judging from a screenshot).
Other ideas?

I'm not sure how it works without a mouse ... I have a Dell Inspiron 8500, but I almost always put my USB Mouse on it because life is so much easier...

I installed the same hosts - Sonar and FLStudio - on my laptop as are on my desktop machine. In fact, I am any more using the laptop more than the desktop machine.
I'm used to using the touchpad on the laptop (this one also has the "trackpoint" nub). Somewhere I have a hand-held trackball for laptops that I picked up for like $10 that's not bad either - but I don't use it much.

Forte can be used without a mouse just fine - but then it's completely different from a sequencer, it's a live playing host.GuyWithDogs wrote:http://www.brainspawn.com/products/forte/

Since the OP mentioned "moving parts in Tracktion", I figured he was talking about writing tunes.

Why don't you just use a f**king mouse? I've never used those stupid track-pads. Even on a plane, its no hassle to use a mouse.

I too use FL on my laptop and Audition...I also use the touchpad and love it....it's great with FL's x-y controller, delay lama too...but I actually prefer it on everything, it doesn't limit me and the only time it's a pain is if I brush the touchpad accidently and put a note in or something, but that's what undo is for.

I reckon it would piss him off if I interupted it...Why don't you just use a f**king mouse?

I'm not using a mouse because I want to play with a band just using a laptop (and perhaps an Oxygen-8). A mouse would require an additional flat space to move it on which I figure is hard to get on a venue.
A trackball is a nice idea, though...
