Heard a lot of great music on here, but not as yet seen any of it put to video.
Anyone doing this? Be interested in seeing examples and, if poss, what tools they are using?

We are both designers/animators in film/TV so we could make a truly kick-arse clip if we wanted to but what would be the point? Where would it be shown?
I've made lots of stuff for on-stage visuals using 3ds max and combustion - the tools I use at work. It gives me much better value for the time I put into it.

I remember someone here made a DnB video of a kitten riding a motorcycle with a sword, and it was as awesome as it sounds!
Anyone remember the link? Who did it?

I really love the "Fear the Kittens" flash file someone did to Laibach.

As some have done some videos can you help with a few questions.
What size should they be done in and what is the best codec and frame rate to use?
If i use mpeg 4 do I compress the audio first to mp3 and then render or do i use a wav?
Unfortunatly the manual ain't much help, all it says is "now chose the compresion codec"! It don't say what they do though.
Any

I made a number of attempts at this, but none really got past the "good-enough" stage.
What I tried:
Software - Ulead (OK-ish and cheap)
Windows movie maker (Free and ultimate shit)
Sims2 (fun, but only a toy)
Hardware - A sony TRV22E (does anybody know how to keep these things still enough to get a 2 seconds clip without the viewers getting headaches?)

fake
no kb/sec limit,29.97 fps
100 % quality on the slider
800/600
save master as avi with full rez audio included
from there I'll compress to wmv 576 kb/sec including sound ,for streaming purposes
for dvd I'll just render from the master in Ulead Video Factory at 8000kb/sec constant bit rate
seems to show nicely on all tv's
I'm not familiar with the quality of mpeg4,
wmv's do the job well and have many custom combinations.
