Julie's having fun in the Nebula

Last week I made a sampling recording session with a Montreal jazz singer named Julie Hamelin. It may take a while but we intend to release a few sample sets in various formats with her voice.
Here's a little piece I made with my first tests, everything you hear is her voice. There are 2 instances of the M42 Nebula and in each only the soundfont oscillator is used, this means that the basic sound is Julie's voice only but as the M42 can really modulate those samples, it gets groovyyyy.
There's also one instance of Vsampler 3 playing straight and unprocessed scat lines as she sang them.
So download it and listen to it: Julie's having fun in the Nebula
And give us some comments, this is only a small part of the sample content this session generated.

Love it. Who knew that the M42 could scat?
Seriously, this one was over way too fast. I would like to hear a lot more of this use of the Nebula. Julie has an amazing voice and I really like how you use it with this VSTi.
Having played with the "Julie" soundfont a little bit in M42, I'm amazed at how well the vocals work with the rhythms. I was trying to get more of a moving mellotron pad out of it, which wasn't working -- but it works nice as a counter melody.
More please

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments, I emailed the link to Julie so she will read them herself.
I may do longer pieces with her voice but I don't know when as I'm really busy preparing the samples. I'm trying to release the sets with her voice for May 1st.
We may have some sets available before that but there's a lot of stuff.
On the other hand, it was a lot of fun making that little piece, so I may do another one
And I already have some nice choirs made from her voice.

Really nice stuff Zvon!
I'm desparately looking for scat vocals for this piece I'm working on still, and am curious if your set will just be for Nebula, or will .WAV format be available as well at some point?
Julie has a great voice, and I would love to see if I could make her fit into my song - without having to invest in Nebula to do so. But you do intrigue me on that as well.

It still far from decided which samples will be avilable in which formats, but basically as with all our products so far, everything will be available in WAV format as it is the most universal. From there we decide to convert in other formats what is best suited to each of these other formats.Steven West wrote:and am curious if your set will just be for Nebula, or will .WAV format be available as well at some point?
And the scats heard in this demo are the regular WAV files. Everything else is mangled by the M42 Nebula.
