The EBM-Obsessions workshop consist of Bank layouts using different combinations of filters and effects for a default preset. Example: 2 osc's using a simple sine, two lowpass 12 db filters, and relative effects (Stereo-Ensembler+Rich-Ensembler).
The next step is making Global controls for each combination of presets that alow a wide range of effectsand/or adjustments that sound completly different from its default settings. There are 6 windows with 16 free slots for each user control. By default the control layout will be : Control 1-All Oscilator 1-parameters, COntrol 2 Same but for Oscilator 2 ect. And each control has the obvious name Oscialtor 1 , Oscilator Two...
The workshop has 3 banks with a variety of default combinations.
Why would anyone do this? The main intention is to have a nice sounding default combination that already sounds nice and smooth so you get an idea what the main output will sound like. It can be anouying to clear a presets and start from scratch to build a nice harmony. So here you browse through the default workshop banks with predefined parameters but the presets are far from complete. Alot of people hate using other peoples presets to make there own because they feel its cheap and unoriginal. Well with this layout the posibilities are very wide ranged and you can determin what it wil sound like befor you even start on it.
Like i said only phase 1 is complete if any sound designers or Rhino users have any recomendations or conclusions i would like feedback. Do yout hink this is a waste of time or would this layout be helpful for average users?
I should have phase two and three completed tomarrow to upload an example of what i'm creating. Did i mention i'm utterly insane...

Now user controls Function like realtime randomaizers, :
User Control 1 moves all oscilator -1 controls for realtime randomization...
User Control 2 same but for oscilator two. Seting Different starting and Ending points for the parameters can creat interesting results. THen just go to the individual control for fine tuning.
User Control 3 - Filter 1 -Mixer
User Control 4 - Filter 2 -Mixer
User Control 5 - Fx-1 - Realtime Randomizer
User Control 6 - Fx-2 - Realtime Randomizer
Alot of this won't make sence untill i put put together a little PDF DOcument with visuals. After testing phase two the ending results were amazing especialy when using your own external waveforms.
Phase 3 Next : Making Massive Envelope and And User Defined waveforms. Loading Different Variations of these will add more posibilities for experimental effects.
Phaze-4 Create Massive Library For High Quality Waveforms Based on other top notch Virtual Instruments. If you want them packed into vsf format your on your own.
Any thoughts or ideas would be great. I'm not an expert at making high quality waveforms so i could use some help with that if anyone is intersted in contributing.
Remember the point to this Process is To build a foundation within seconds to create amazing phat sounds very easily.

Hm well its not really turning out the way i planned its starting to sound only good for sound effect so i'm giving up on it i think its better just to make the presets from scratch. But i will Has alot of Ebm Presets in the near future for RHino and will post them for you as so as i get them Done.
