Does anyone know of a site that has some info on making music with a Commodore 64?

This thing is fun but I really have no idea how to use it.

if you don't know how to play with it, you'd do better to sell it and get any of those, you can run them directly from your vst host/midi sequencer hmm?
.. tho remember to keep the sid :hihi:

The price of those isn't worth it to me.
I got the C64 computer for free from a friend who is working as a temp for some company that just threw away literally hundreds of old commodores.

EDIT I'm not gonna pay any money to get a sound that a crappy 1982 computer was known to produce. 8)

I wish I still had my old C64 with Master Tracks and the midi interface card. Those were the days.

I just googled Commodore / master tracks and couldn't find any downloads, but it was a good app from my memory.

Midi interface? where could I get one?

Is "Master Tracks" an audio app for the C64?

Look here for your C64 midi adaptor, I had the Sonus one.

Master Tracks was midi only, I don't believe you could do any audio recording on the C64. I'd be shocked if you could,

I'm not sure you're going to be successful finding midi software for the C64. The only reason I can think of to use the C64 would be nostalgia, but if you didn't use one back in the day, I can't see why it would be compelling.

Using it to play old games seems like a better use of your time IMO. If you want an old computer to tool about with music, see if your friend can find you an old Atari ST.
