Hey guys...this might be a lil crazy to some of you...but I couldnt think of any website other than kvr, which no doubtly is the best place for audio freaks.
I just got me some connectors/converters from radioshack the other day which would allow me to connect my cellphone's headset output to my soundcard. When I did that, the sound was so low I had to actually open it in Cubase and boost the signal through many EQ's. When I played ringtones, the quality was pretty decent. However when I tried to call someone, I started hearing a very annoying distorted noise. It was so bad that it made the whole recording useless because it was not understandable at all. Is there any solution to this? I dont like the idea of putting the cellphone on speakerphone and recording it through a mic. There must be a real digital way of doing this. Recording is not only the reason I wana connect my cell to the soundcard. I'm also wondering if there is a way of using my condensor or dynamic mic that is connected to my soundcard and outputting the sound from cubase to the cellphone, so the person at the other end hears any effects etc I add to my voice. This could be lot of fun if its possible!

I'm probably the last man on earth not to have a cell phone (just a leash if you ask me), but you did make me think "if we had this when I was a kid"...you know before caller id, before *69...DiGGi-DaNGa wrote:Hey guys...this might be a lil crazy to some of you...but I couldnt think of any website other than kvr, which no doubtly is the best place for audio freaks.

if you connect direct to your soundcard this will be no good. you need to go through a pre-amp first. most little cheapie mixing desks will do for this.
