With a name like "esoundz.com" you'd think that perhaps you could download sounds from such a place. Well, some time in the very near future you will finally be able to do that!

From www.esoundz.com you will soon be able to PURCHASE downloadable "esoundz" for a variety of affordable prices ranging from $5-30 on average per "product". The products are different than our physical CDROM products because those are generally too large for download in most cases. But, there will be some "esoundz" that are taken from existing libraries and sold ala carte and then there will be some that are previously unreleased and only available as an esound. You will be able to read in its description which library it is from if any (and of course it will say "previously unreleased" for those people that already have all of our libraries and want only new unreleased material).

This is going to be great. Instant delivery! No shipping necessary, no waiting, no hassle... just sounds, sounds, more sounds and sounds to go on top of sounds. You can pick them by instrument category or by format. These are the formats the sounds will be available in:

SampleTank 1 and 2 (yes, that's right. SampleTank 1 support is back via this outlet for any Windows 98 users who still have it or anyone else)

Reason 2.5 and 3

HALion 2 and 3

EXS24MkII

Kontakt 1 & 2 (2 when it is out of course)

Battery 1 & 2 (2 support coming)

SoundFont 2 (supporting Fruity, Project 5, SFZ and more)

Apple Loops & Garage Band instruments

Acidized Wav

Rex 2

Cameleon CA5000, HighLife and more.

plus, we may add support for Mach 5 and other software samplers if it is requested enough.

You can use your ePointz on them too! In fact, we're going to add the ability to purchase ePointz in advance at a discount. So, you could get 50 ePointz for $45. or maybe 500 ePointz for $400. if you think you'll be using it throughout the year and want to save some money buying in bulk credits.

Isn't this cool?

How did I know that you'd be one of the first people to respond? ;) I know that our overseas customers will appreciate the ability to get sounds instantly as needed.

Well - although I'm really happy with eSoundz distribution and packaging anyway, this is also handy if I'm looking for something in particular that I want in a hurry and don't already have.

I could probably find a soundfont somewhere, but sometimes I feel like I'm downloading those freebies and getting limited value for my time.

Here I get a well-programmed sound that I'll probably be able to use instantly with little financial risk.

It seems like a good deal to me.

Won't stop me buying the bigger products of course - but useful nevertheless.

Sounds promising, especially for the kind of specialty instruments I've been wishing for. Having a few big, close-to-comprehensive libraries now, I'll appreciate being able to pick and buy with finer granularity than the cubic yard.

This would be maybe the only downloadable sound site that offers SampleTank 2 format sounds. Although it will also maybe some of the widest native support for other pro sample formats as well.

I need a duduk for this project? www.esoundz.com
I need a banjo for this project? www.esoundz.com
I need a bassoon and a bagpipe for this project? www.esoundz.com

I wonder if it would be worthwhile offering two "grades" of some esounds - regular grade might be up to 10mb, and some esoundz would have "premium" grade versions of maybe up to 50mb with more multisamples, more layers, and more child presets (for ST2) and variation patches (for other samplers).

Forever,

Kim.

We'll already have that by price. A 50 meg piano maybe $15-20. But, a 1 meg oboe may be $1.

This is going to be half individual sounds taken from our products and half unreleased material (roughtly half anyway in the long run) so that even those that have everything we make can have new things every month. It's also an opportunity to get a little esoteric with unusual sounds as well as widening the range of formats. For instance, we already have a cool set of SFZ/Highlife sounds that we'll be releasing immediately (how about that!). But, TONS and TONS of SampleTank sounds as well as Kontakt and Reason... and everything else too.

oh this sounds good, instant sonic gratification, rather than the suspense of waiting for the postman, you're going to spoil us :)

Yeah, it'll be good for epointz collectors as well since for every referal you can download $5. worth of sounds!

Good thing we'll soon have thousands of sounds on there. ;)

You guys sound like you're being paid by SR/Esoundz.

Seriously though, this is a very good idea. There are a lot of miscillaneous samples that I could use, and this would be an optimal way to get them.

An AWESOME BRASS SECTION multisample, for instance. I still don't have one, but I really want one.

Oh, and PLEASE try to make short little demo clips for the sounds. I'd like to know what I'm purchasing before I purchase it. Not to knock you guys; I'm very happy with my SR products, but I've purchased some mediocre soundfonts that I wouldn't have bought had I been able to hear a soundclip first.

Uh, doesn't that kind of translate to instant loss of profit? I'm not trying to be a naysayer or anything (here come the flames). I mean, you're basically giving a $500 product away for $400, no strings attached.

What would be the benefit (from Esoundz's point of view), for basically giving away free epointz?

Lol, everyone here hates me now. Don't get me wrong, I think it's AWESOME to have such a customer-oriented site like Esoundz.

Shhh! You're gonna bring Squids to his senses and put the kibosh on the whole scam!!!:x:P

Seriously, from eSoundz's standpoint, I can see a couple of benefits.

For one, instant cash flow for a product that might not be ordered for months after the epointz have been bought and paid for.

For another, it results in an immediate commitment to purchase $x amount of product from eSoundz. Let's say that today I believe that I would like to buy Studiphonik whenever it comes out, say six months from now. If I buy my epointz today, I certainly will buy it or something else. But let's say I can't buy any epointz, and some other company comes out with something during those six months that I decide I can't live without, or perhaps my dog needs emergency liposuction in the interim, thereby forcing me to either postpone or abandon my decision to buy Studiophonik when it is released. A sale is lost that could have been had if the epointz purchase option had been made available.

Oh and let's say you still want to buy Studiophonik six months later but you decide for whatever reason to buy it from a different retailer instead of eSoundz. If you bought the epointz beforehand, that ain't gonna happen.

But then again, maybe Squids just really has lost it this time . . . .

Studiophonik is much more worthy of your money than your dog's liposuction! :hihi:
