I've been told that DSP hardware synths don't work properly in FL. I'm looking to buy a harware synth, and my favourite options are a Virus, a Clavia Nord or an Oberheim OB12...

can anyone who use these kind of synths within FL tell me what sort of problems are there between them and if they would advise me to buy any of them?? thanks mates.

They're probably referring to cards like Poco (Powercore) and UAD1 which run vst synths on dedicated dsp hardware, because FLS doesn't have automatic pluging delay compensation (PDC).

They synths you considering should have no problem at all.
And all life's fears
Can invade my ears
I can handle it

Outboard synths such as those you mention would be bog-standard MIDI devices, so it wouldn't matter whether they're DSP based or not.

As Secondskin says, they should be fine. I use a Roland Juno-106, JP-8000 and Korg Prophecy with FLS no problem.
