Purchased Muzys second-hand here a while ago and now found time to look into it. Damm, what a fine host !
Great possibilities, well thought out, best automation i have ever seen, extremly good audio engine, nearly complete in features and Muzynth is simply incredible - maybe the best synth ever, amodular monster, espeically for drums (Envelopes !!!), bass and lead its hard to beat, and sounds like nothing else.

I also dearly love the "command bridge" feeling the layout gives me, very well done...the only host so far i have which i really beleive i could do whole albums with without
Hopefully its developer is up to something new or -better - works on a version 4.0, i pay the upgrade price for sure.
Just a question to those here workng longer with this:
Is there any website still open for it ?
I would love to have (and share) more patches, and i also look for skins - i believe there had been some originally, but as far i have only the original ones.

Anyone in for praise ? :)

Yes, indeed there are still fans of Muzys out there. And yes, we are all anxious to hear what the developer (Jo) is going to bring forth in the future.

Offical support for this application no longer exists, but a new website has been created to support those of us who still love using this fine program.

We haven't seen a whole lot of traffic yet, but are hopeful this will change.

In my opinion Muzys is one the best midi sequencers ever made for the computer.

Thank you for the link..off i go.

Odd, it must have been a dream. I thought Muzys had been updated and rebranded for some reason. :?

Yes I think Muzys is the best midi sequencer out there under $200.

I'm using EnergyXT now for the moment (the best music creation environment under $50). :D

But I'm waiting to see what the next incarnation of Muzys is. Once I get a handle on what's being offered I can see how I can use the two together.

Jo is the man!

I still have a few skins for Muzys 3.
If you are interested,
i can upload them somewhere ...
???

If you could do this, it would be great !

If you like to, you could also send them to me at the mail adress richardlichten@yahoo.de.

I could swap some Muzynth patches - but it will take a while until i have got a decent amount of self-mades.

To Caleb : I've got the same configuration working here - XT and Muzys . XTs Sequenzer is great, but all in all Muzys is better - but XT may head up.
But despites XTs rapid development, Muzys Audio engine is better, at least for modern, dancy-music stuff, i feel - XT sounds a bit more "retro", leass clear, to my ears.
Have you information about Jo's new project ?

Kind Regards, Richard

Funny, I'm a CM subscriber and got Muzy's Studio for free. I gave it a try. It's not bad, but I'll stick with Orion Platinum. Better drivers, better interface. Plus there's something strange about a program that's not installed onto your hard drive but rather is just placed there with it's content folder. Kinda weird. Nevertheless, if it works for you and helps you to create music, then more power to ya.

I'm stilling using Muzys a bit. I'd probably use it more if it had a freeze feature. Currently you have to delete a synth in order for it's cpu use to go to zero.

Muzys by far and away is the most efficient host I've used in terms of cpu use. Using the same plugins, I've compared it to Live4 and Project5, and it is consistently more efficient (although P5 is supposed to improve in this area with the next version). Muzys also has extremely comprehensive midi editing, and it's fast to work with.

This is the big sell for me with Muzys. Nothing else vaguely compares at this price level for midi editing. It's one of the things that pisses me off about other packages in the same "class".

You have to go to a level like Cubase etc. to get a similar level of midi editing power.

@VanLichten: Jo is unable to comment on his latest project due to legal agreements. We must unfortunately be completely in the dark until whatever is unveiled is unveiled.

Ahh, i see. Probably one of the "big guys" got wind of this -
an extremly developed unknwon midi sequenzer with a audio engine up with the big guys - Nuendo etc - and a synth to beat and thought about a good deal - not much development costs for the "new" own sequencer...

Just speculating, but wouldnt really wonder if this would happen - i probably would be one of the first customers....

Yeah - since I don't use Muzys (I tried the CM version, but never got into it myself) I didn't hear until recently that it was discontinued. I certainly didn't see any "discontinued" notice in the KVR news, which I do check regulaly. Given that Muzys did seem to be popular with its user base I wondered why it was discontinued. Does anyone one know, or have a pointer to an announcement? Just curious.
