Oddities with GalactiX 1.4a and Ableton Live 4.1

I've used several VSTs from smartelectronix with great results. One I'd like to use, but which acts 'oddly' when I try to use it, it GalactiX.

I use Ableton Live 4.1 on Windows XP Home (SP2). GalactiX instantiated fine, and when I selected a key, there was nothing... well, a significant delay... and then a tone starts to build. And Build... and Wail and BUILD and WAIL at which point the track level is white hot and the host locks up-- there is no release.

The tone in question sounded pretty cool, I'd like to be able to use the synth, but it's a no go at this point.

You know Galactix worked fine with Sonar 2.2, but something was changed in the VST wrapper Sonar uses, and it no longer functions. I can get it to function if I wrap it with the old wrapper, but now there are some background noises I can't eliminate, and forget about using Galactix with Cubase SX3.01. What you described happens to me in That program and Sonar 4.0 Producer. Sad, since I really loved this synth. I wish he'd put out a fully supported pay version.

yeah there was that one thread where I asked for updates to a couple bugs I was having with galactix.. and he was considering updating it.. but that was his last post (IIRC)
