tracktion vs logic express

can any of u with higher knowledge /opinions let me know what u think ? im using reason to make dance tracks ....aside from its forthcoming update...want to explore mastering editing in another host..dipped my fingers into using both and obvious tracktion much user friendly....whats the differnce gonna be in terms of final quality of output between logic express and tracktion ...any thoughts...tracktion would suit my user approach but wondered if any huge quality in results etc

If you're talking purely about sound quality, there will be no difference between them.
The differences will be in workflow and included features and/or plug-ins.

ok...presuming i look into downloading all the free plug ins that are mac osx for processing....will tracktion offer an equivalent degree of flexability...means i can run plug in synth in tracktion alongside reason ...dont know if that sthe sam for logic express..

You can re-wire Reason into Tracktion, if that's what you mean. 
I don't know which Mac plug-ins are good, but I DO imagine that Logic Express must have some pretty good ones bundled, no?
I always liked Tracktion's bundled 3rd party plugs, though... MDA make great stuff.

Interesting dilema there...
As the thrust of your question is about the final quality, I would say you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference between the two.
Logic's effects are superior though (but I don't know which FX come with the Express version).
But then Tracktion is cheaper, so money saved there would enable you to buy some tasty plugins anyway.
As you say Tracktion would suit your user approach, I would say go with Tracktion. I've been a Logic user for **years and I think you're probably right to say that Tracktion is friendlier. For me however, Logic is friendlier because I'm more familiar with it and I prefer the classic mixer approach to recording. Also, I use a lot of outboard MIDI gear which T can't cope with.
I have Tracktion on my system and have given it a considerable workout. To my ears there is no difference between it and Logic when playing back the same .wav file with no added effects.
My advice: For what you're doing, go for Tracktion.

Apparently Tracktion makes a good rewire companion with Reason, I believe computer music had features on how easy and compatible they are together.

Get Tracktion NOW because Tracktion 2 will cost $199 AFAIK.

i own trackion 1 and have had a few sessions and then had a few go's on logic express....just wondered which one i'm best to concentrate on spending my time on ......thanks for u r comments.....im not very techy and ur comments are appreciated ...logic looks snazzy and has rep but im only interested in practical results and user friendlyness.....having said all that i heard one of my tracks over a club sound system last night (produced solely in reason) and it sounded better than other productions..the bass drum kicked ass!!!

I am a previous Logic pc user but have been using Tracktion/SXV3 of late - the one thing that would make me say go with Logic is the midi editing-piano/roll which IMO is far more usable/accessable than Tracktion's (I am talking about V1.6 - who knows what T2 will be like?).
Otherwise there is nothing in it, you can get FREE plug-ins/instruments that should match in quality whatever Logic has.
