Hi everybody.
I'm considering buying Apple's Logic switching finally from Cubase, which I used many years. The reason is that I want to switch from pc to mac and thair sequencer has just so many to offer :) so I can hardly resist. Being also involved in film music production I just want to know if Logic's video display has a full screen mode. Cubase happen to have this and it's a great function. You do right click on the video display and, voila, the movie it's full screen-ed. This feature is important especially when you don't have 2 monitors, which is my case. Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I would have thought the more logical choice (ha) was to go to Nuendo, its got far more for the film industry..

Yes, according to the manual. It uses Quicktime for its movie playback features. You can open a movie in a floating window, and "if you click once on the gray bar at the bottom of the video image, the Quicktime window will expand to fill the whole screen in such a way that the entire video image, whatever its shape, best fits your monitor"

and also, in time, I think Logic will become the choice for pro movie scorers, simply because Apple is putting a lot of development efforts into making Logic compatible with FCP.

OK thanks.

Talking about just scoring not mixing a movie soundtrack, Cubase does this well and it seems that Logic does it just the same. Nuendo is for the big studios that has 9999 tracks which is not my case :)
fortunately :D

People really seem to like DP for film scoring. You might want to take a look at that too.
