Hello everyone, don't mean to be such a bother but the other day there was a thread on the best books for someone to read on recording. I have been searching for it for about 45 minutes now and cannot seem to find it. Does anyone know about this thread? And if not could someone refer me to some books (especially on mixing, synthesis, mastering, music theory, just the best books you know of). Ever since I came onto KVR and was refered to a few sites like theprojectstudiohandbook.com, i've literally been reading endlessly, but I need some books to take places or just something that has more depth than just an article, any books on music and recording in any shape or form would be so so useful.
I appreciate your time and patience! Thanks!
Taking it to the books....

Currently I am using FL studio 5, Acid Pro, I have a few synths like Vanguard and some Free VST's. For mastering I have like The Classic bundle from Kjaerhus and some other plug ins. For hardware all I have is a Preamp and mic. Before the end of the year though i'm gonna rebuild practically. I plan on getting Cubase System 4 with some sort of Condenser Mic, I am going to buy a whole new computer, Try to get as much Power for my money as I can, I am thinking maybe 1 gig of RAM and 120 Gig hardrive, probably a pentium 4, not sure how many MHZ, I was looking on RME at their soundcards but I'm not sure if it will be necassry to get one since I will have System 4, and a microkorg. Software I was gonna buy some stuff like T racks, one of the Waves bundles (maybe Diamond) and so far that's all i'm thinking.
