I don’t know anything about NTrack's network feature but I'm guessing that it would only be useful on a local network since there would be large amount of data transfer. Far more the average modem can handle (If where talking audio.. not just midi?).vikse wrote: over the Internet to jam\play together and hear each other audio?
Stienbergs "Rocket Network" from what I have read wasnt/isnt very popular and was /is very expensive to run.

It's easy enough to stream audio (Just look at the 1000's of internet radio stations). But for long distance collaboration you need allot more functionality than just being able to hear audio from another system in real-time.vikse wrote:well me and my friend are both on broadband, enough to send audiostrweams in realtime =)
How are you doing that?
With what software?
Are you able to work on the same project at the same time?
Can you work on the project that is stored on the remote system?

If it is just a case of "Jaming" together live then maybe Ntrack would allow you to this? I had a look at the Ntrack site and couldnt find any mention of this functionality.
Maybe duncanparsons can give a better answer?
