I'm a *huge* fan of this product range. I use Sonic Synth in every track I do -it's the only VSTi in my default song , so the Buy ST2L get Amplitube free offer is hugely tempting - as I'm a guitar player, too. The prospect of unleashing the ST2 engine is also making me drool

Anyways - SR / Squids - can you clarify a couple of things for me ?

(1) Am I right in assuming that ST2L gives me the complete, uninhibited sampletank engine ?

(2) How does $199 convert to GBP on esoundz?

BTW - I looked at the ST2LE upgrade to ST2L on IK's website. They seem to think that $199 is £165 Last time I checked , $199 was £103. Buggers

Yes.

You also get some sounds with that.

And Amplitube.

eSoundz is all in US dollars... so, you pay whatever the exchange rate is on the day.

It's the full engine. A good way to go. I strongly recommend taking advantage of this while there is the ST/AT deal. It's too good not to do it especially if you are a guitar player (but even if you weren't). You also qualify for a future discount for AT2 from this. It's a great deal all around. Best 2 hundred you ever spent.

A lot of credit card companies do the conversion for you so if you buy it in esoundz in dollars it will be whatever the bank converts it at. The latest rate I suppose? Maybe someone from the UK who has purchased something for $199. from us can tell you for sure what they paid in GBP. Either way, I think it is a great deal at either price you mentioned.

Ok here's a question.... I bought SS2 and got the $99 Full-Sampletank-Engine upgrade.

What upgrade path do I have to follow to take advantage of the free amplitube offer? I'd assume it would be a "sounds only" upgrade, but does that exist anymore?

Crossgrade to ST2L. It's a little bit cheaper than getting Amplitube on its own, and you get four discs of extra sounds for ST2.

Technically, the ST2L crossgrade is only available to ST2LE, ST2SE, and Sonic Synth 1... but if you talk to the friendly folk at www.esoundz.com they should be able to do something for you.
