samples for smooth jazz?

Hello,

(I'm rather new to computer music and sampling so please bear with me...)

I am working on a smooth jazz project and I'm looking for some drum kit and latin percussion one-shot samples. Hopefully something not too expensive.

24-bit and multi-velocity would be nice but it's not a must. Just some usable samples with good definition that can help me get an expensive and sophisticated sound on the cheap :D

Also: in the radio sometimes I hear some tracks that feature a cool mix of dance/ electronica/ jazz/ fusion. What genre is this? Any artist that I should check out?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, I had seen this kit before, but it's not royalty free, unfortunately

:(

I think I'll use the samples that came with the last issue of Computer Music, for the time being, until I can find something better.

I was hoping that I could get some perc samples with that high-end zing and swish and plink that is the mark of all smooth jazz records. The ones I have found so far are slightly lacking.

Maybe those websites that have samples for download... I'll have to check out some of them.

Thanks anyway

The LL
