i have the same exact problem. On my old computer i have had no problems at all, fruity worked wonderfully for years with no crashes or anything, then i bought a brand new laptop a few months ago, and thats when the problems started. Basically i have an ATI Radeon 9100 graphics card in my laptop and i think thats whats causing the problem. It pisses me off coz it only happens now and again, and always without warning.. fruity not only crashes, but it becomes corrupt. Then i have to reinstall, which is a major pain in the ass. I Looked in the fruity help file and it mentions something about fruity crashing when opening the piano roll wondow when run on machines with ati graphics. I suppose check your system, and upgrade to the latest graphics driver, and wait for fruity 6 to come out and hope and pray to god they fixed the problem. If anyone elese has any advice on this.. please let us know.. thanks!

Does the file exist in your explorer? Perhaps write protected?buckman wrote:Im using Fl 5.1 Producer Edition which is great, but then i suddenly get:

No need to reinstall it, it's the files in folder called "Skins" in \Image-Line\FLStudio5\Artwork that's getting deleted when you get that error.
What you could do, is copy the folder called "Skins", to "My Documents" for example, and every time you get that error, just copy it over to "\Image-Line\FLStudio5\Artwork"..

That error occurs to my friend too, what version of FL do you have? He uses a BAD install file which always f**ks up, and the version of FL he has is also kinda buggy.I believe he has 5.01a or something like that.
