Alright here's the deal.....we REALLY need patches for the Tsunami Sounds Volume 2 Collection!!! So, after talking to a ton of developers, Zvon and Myself have arranged a few competitions for you all to get everybody a bit more interested.
This is the First of what will be a series of 3 competitions (2 will be random drawings and 1 will be a song writing contest). Anyway, to save myself some time, as i'm about to go out and grab a few beers at the local pub, I'm just going to copy and paste the press release i've sent out to the news sites here in this thread. It is as follows:"The Great Tsunami Sound Design Competition : PART:I."
ToTc Productions and Les Productions Zvon have announced that, in cooperation with a number of audio software companies, the First of 3 competitions.
The first competition starts at 12:00 AM (EST) , Sunday, March 13th, and extends for 2 weeks, ending at 12:00 AM (EST) Monday, March 28th. This first round is meant to increase the amount of patches in volume 2 significantly and allow it to cover a broader range of instruments. The details and rules are as follows.
During the aforementioned time period, all who wish to enter must design at least 12 presets for 1 or more effects or instruments. The patches can be for ANY effect/instrument in Hardware or Software form. Patches for Software effects/instruments must be for software in at least 1 of the following formats:
1. VST (Mac And PC)
2. Direct X (PC)
3. RTAS (Mac)
4. Audio Unit (Mac)
5. TDM And HTDM (Mac)
6. Host Specific (I.E: Orion Generators, Fruitly Loops Generators, etc.)
Concerning presets for Software effects/Instruments, they can be for either Free OR Commercial products.
All presets MUST be previously unreleased and original material. Please do not enter the competition using presets that are available ANYWHERE else.
As long as the above guidelines are met, your 12 (or more) preset submission will automatically enter you into a drawing for 1 of 3 prizes. This means there will be 3 winners. Winners will be selected at random in a "Name out of a hat" fashion to remain fair. Winners will NOT be selected according to quality of patches, nor shall they be selected by the amount of patches they submit. So you need not be a skilled sound designer at all, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join.
Winners will be 3 days after the competition ends. If you win, we will notify you by email and ask you for your contact info and permission to forward it to the developer of the product you have won so that developer can register you and deliver your prize.
Since some of you may one of the prizes being offered, to avoid problems, there will be 3 seperate drawings, 1 for each of the following prizes (In No Specific Order).
1. Psychic Modulation's 'NeuroSynth Vsti Pack'.
2. AlgoMusic's 'M42-Nebula' Vsti.
3. discoDSP's 'Phantom Vsti'.
Please specify which of the drawings you would like to be entered into when submitting your entry.
