Hi,
I have Sonic Synth1 with Sampletank included, that I purchased about year and a half ago. I would like someone here tells me what is the best combination for strings. What I'm saying is, I like to make my own strings section instead of using a strings sample such as #1 Romance Strings or #3 String Orchestra that are included with SonicSynth. When I make a combination of violins and violas instead, it sounds better! But I really like to have some more presets from anyone here.

I like to do string orchestras by loading a different string ensemble instrument for each ensemble part. That way there is sometimes a better clarity between the ensemble parts.
Layering can also be useful - particularly layering a solo violin (or three) on top of a violin section. Of course, it all depends on the sound you're after and the music you're making.
