My god, how awesome blockfish is. This guy showed me how to use it on the master bus, and it sounds so sweet and warms everything up.... Who else here loves blockfish? Everyone I freaking know uses it!

It's pretty handy flavour unit. I wouldn't ever put it on the master bus tho.

It's a shame it's not possible to completely turn off the saturation unit as it tends to grain up the sound instead of sweeten it. That's why it doesn't work on mastering.

I tend to use the floorfish more nowadays. It's the best 'flavour' gate/expander IMO. Nice attack sculpting capabilities in it.

digital fish phones stuff are ones i use constantly - hard to believe they are freebies - i understand the developer is working commercially now - anyone know who he's working 4?

samplitude features his latest plugins, including a kind of blockfish v2 and dominion v2. too bad they're propietary.

Me.It's my go-to insert comp for most things,but I don't use it for everything(TimeWorks Compressor-X gets used a lot)and I wouldn't use it on for mastering.But for inserts and group outs those 2(Blockfish/Compessor-X)are pretty much all I use.

Well my master bus mixes sound really good with it... What do you suggest I use instead? Endorphin?

Huge respect to Sascha Eversmeier.

The fisphones are great, no plug is perfect for every use but Endorphin and Blockfish have served me well for years. Dominion is also a wonderful effect, gives character to many sounds.

The ultimate compliment: I own a UAD-1 card and still use Blockfish routinely. Has a character you just can't find elsewhere.

I use Blockfish and Floorfish on almost everything i do. It's just awesome.
