Here's an idea for Voxengo... How about making a mastering rack VST? A placeholder for your mastering plugins allowing you to put them into series in predefined configurations.
The benefits? First of all, this could allow a 64bit signal path throughout the rack. No conversion to 32bit between each plugin. Secondly, a single preset can recall the placement and settings for multiple plugins making it easier reuse or create templates and so on.
Cheers

might be a cool idea. but you might run into problems with host apps properly saving plugin settings within the rack plugin.
also FWIW, the round-off error from truncating between 2-3 plugins is negligable. 64bit float is most useful for feedback paths, used in filters, etc.

Evan, this idea has been expressed here and on the Voxengo forum several times already. Indeed, this does sound like a good idea, but it does not fit my plans because good/stable VST host is a pretty hard thing to create while we already have many hosts with such 'modular' functionality. You may try EnergyXT, for example.
32-bit 'inter plug-in' resolution is hardly a problem in my opinion.
