A quick search on Google's "Froogle" function shows a good number of retailers selling Powercore plugins at much lower prices than buying direct from TC Electronic.
For instance, the channel strip style plugin "Master X5" sells for $249 at TC's online store, but Jack's Music Store is selling the same plugin for $164. This is pretty normal in the retail world, so I'm not really surprised by this.
What I am surprised by is that UAD-1 and Creamware plugins don't seem to be available in this way. I've looked around on Google and the most of the major online music stores and I don't see them.
Am I missing something, or are these companies not allowing retailers to sell their plugins? And if so, why not?
Granted, the Powercore plugins are much more expensive than the UAD-1 plugins and even when selling at much lower prices through retailers they are still more expensive than most UAD-1 plugins.

I don't know about Creamware, but with UAD-1 you already have all of the plugins, you just need to to buy the activation so that you can use them after the 14 day trial period has expired.

Why?
Because they want to make all the money not just half of it.
(at least they price them reasonably compare to the others)

Creamware plugins can be bought from www.jrrshop.com , Eric (known as Uncle E around here) will even give you a KvR discount. 
There are also a number of German online stores that carry Creamware products:
