Anyone else a fan? We have it as part of digital package and have had it for about 3 years. It's awesome save for one thing. Some songs I love I can't listen to because of a compressor breathing. Anyone else notice this? Here some songs breath heavier then a 90 year old smoker in a decathalon...

Are you watching it on TV? Perhaps that's the problem. I have Sirius on my television and it's quite loud and pumpy at times, but I went out and subscribed to XM (had to hear O&A) and I have to say it doesn't seem like they're compressing much if it all on XM. I'm serious the differences in average volume between some songs/stations is so astounding it's kind of annoying and can have you reaching out for the volume control for real life.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

my cable box has digital outpits, so I know what you mean. If I switch to analog the volume drop is amazing, but yes we do watch it on TV...the wife says it's her way of playing dj...oh the crap she makes me listen too...atleast right now it's playing shakedown street, my favorite Grateful Dead song...:)
