hey all,
i'm about to release my first album (independently/locally) and want to know
what are the last minute things i need to take care of before releasing it.

to those who have released an album in the past, any
tips, advice and/or usefull information you could pass along would be greatly appreciated.

When you say "release" does this mean that c.d.s are already manufactured and ready to ship?

the songs are already mixed and mastered, the cover/images are already finished. im thinking of sending the master to diskfactory tomorrow (monday) or tuesday. hopefully i can get the dups maybe(?) this friday. im only going to order 100 copies initially. that's the smallest amount i can order, and it will cost me $200.

Hm. Burn the master to a ceramic CD-R at 1X-4X speed; i used a BASF ceramic CD myself and that worked ace.

Actually making the CDs is the easy bit. It's marketing and getting them out there that's the big trick.
