Hello,
I recently bought Sampletank 2XL and crossgraded to Sonik Synth 2. Needless to say, the drum sounds are fantastic, and have made NI's Battery obsolete for me.
However, I have a question about the difference between the regular drum kits and the IMAP kits in regard to the closed/open hi-hat relationship. Coming from Battery I'm used to having the closed hat "choke" or stop the open hat sample - like it does in the regular drum kits in ST2XL. I can't replicate this in the IMAP kits though, since the open hat sample is independent from the closed hat (i.e. they can both sound at once).
Am I missing something here that allows you to choke the open hi-hat in the IMAP kits? Is there a way to program this? I hope I'm making sense to someone out there.
Thanks for your help,
Mike

Thanks for the tip! This works for most of the kits in ST2XL and SS2. Does the F key also choke the open hat for the IMAP kits in the Studio Drums capsule (which I'm eyeing)?

I think so. I'm not at my music computer right now so I can't test it, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for the Studio Drums Capsule.
The Studio Drums Capsule also has some other cool stuff, like the ability to use the UFO installer to output separated elements as ST2 instruments, which makes it really easy to mix and match different kits, and apply individual processing to kit elements.
Forever,
Kim.
