After overwriting my file disk with a ghost and loosing all my wav files,i tried varius recover software to recover them.
One seemed to work.
It found all the files it could.
Even if the files have the correct size it cant be opened either with editor.
"Unrecognizable or unexpectable file format"was the msg if i remember well.
Someone told me to try open it as raw audio and play with the settings but it didnt work either.
I ve found that there is a prog in Linux that mabe do the job called Kwave and i am gonna try it after installing linux.
Does anybody know something related?
Thanx

Renaming the file to .raw should have made it playable in something! The header information from the wav would be lost so you would have to set the sample freq and stereo mono after. It maybe that the file is serious damaged. A good indicator would be the file size - is it what you were expecting or grossly different?

I used soundforge to open as *.raw file(without renaming it).
As a result i got pure digital noiz,
i am gonna try again,
