Are the any V Sampler users out there that would be willing to make and share an example file of key switching samples in V Sampler?
I'm able to do basic sample mapping but have not been able to figure out how to set up key switching between two samples or round robin. A one key example of each would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out from there. Haven't had much luck working with the manual.:?

Thanks

You'd probably have more luck at the Speedsoft forum. There are a couple of guys who toss out answers there who never show their faces around here. (And Maz comes on occasionally as well.)

OK here are two little tutorials for Switch key and for Round Robin

Switchkey

I start from the point where you already have each of your samples organised in one zone pro sample with the appropriate key ans so on.

Say you have 10 samples violin_pp, 10 samples violin_mf and 10 samples violin_ff
The aim is to organise the zones so that when you press the switch key C0 only the violin_pp zones will be played,
pressing D0 only the -mf zones will be played
pressing E0 only the _ff zones will be played

1. You have to organise your zones in 3 groups.
for this rightclick in the zone page and choose "manage selection groups"
select all the _pp zones in the left window, put them in the right window
select "New" and give this group the name "violin_pp"

do the same for the _mf zones
and also for the _ff zones
Now you have 3 Zones-groups that you can choose from the zone page

2. Now you have to assign each zone a keyswitch
Choose the zone group "violin_pp"
Rightclick in the zonepage
choose "extended zone setting"
in the "zone conditions / Play Zone if" choose "switch key" and set the value to 24 in both field (that is C0)
close the window

repeat this for the two other zones with value 25 (for D0) and 26 (for E0)

3 finished!
VSampler will per default set the switchkey to the first one.
But when you press the other keys it will work

Round Robin

You have to create cycle groups.
This for you have to create at least two zones (each with a different sample) that overlap

It is important to name the zone in a way that you can recognise them quickly among all the other zones.
Rightclick in the zone page
choose "Manage Cycle Groups"
On the left side choose a cycle group
All the available zones should appear in the second window
put the overlapping zones you want from the second window to the third window
set mode: Round robin

Repeat this for every cycle group
finished

I hope this helps

Just wanted to thank teacue for taking the time to post this little tutorial. I'll spend some time with this over the weekend hopefully this will get me where I want to be.
Thanks again
