Does anyone know of any possible way to fix them? A .flp file that you have put hours of work and love into can be heartbreaking when it turns currupt

wish I knew how. was there something you did that turned it corrupt, so we could know how to avoid it?

The only obvious one was this case when Fruity crashed on me for the first time EVER for no apparent reason. Before that, it happened after FL gradually slowed down and down when certain .flp files were open until they stopped working all together.

I wish i could read code so just maybe i could do something by looking at the .flp file...

i seem to remember that you can send your .flp to imageline and they'll try and uncorrupt it for you. try posting on the IL forum. additionally, that's what save new version is for :>
this statement is unprovable

I've heard people say that if you move any VST's that the project needs, it won't be able to find them, and report a sensible error rather than trying to load a VST that might be causing the corruption.

When Fruity can't find a vst is simply says "Can not load 'X' Vst"

Please allways use Ctrl + N to backup your project. The flp files aren't big and this way you will have several versions of your project :-)

Oi I've emptied it a few times since then. Why? what important would be in it?

Something u can try if ur desperate:

Rename ur corrupt file or move it out of its current directory. Run the free recovery program above (always handy to have around) and point it to the directory your original file was in. Try and look for the original name or sometimes it may have added numbers with it.

I say this because you might be able to recover a previously saved version. It works sometimes but not always, somethin to try as a last resort anyway.

Good luck
