An anechoic room is one with no reflections what-so-ever. The room will have absolutely no effect on the signal. Therefore neither does this plug-in.

It does exactlty what is designed to do, nothing at all.

Grr... too quick on the draw. ;)

....it must be my sequencer...I tried it before as well and I turn the knob on an entire mix or on a single track and... no difference. Apparently it seems to work fine for others so I meant no offence to SE...I love your other stuff. This one just doesn't seem to be working for me.

Are you sure you don't have the John Cage model?

I know it's a joke but even an Anechoic room doesn't sound like that.

I would expect an Anechoic room effect to strip anything that goes through of any hint of a reverb.

If you've stepped inside an Anechoic chamber - it is a very strange feeling - like being in the desert - it feels like there is a negative pressure on your ear drums.

This effect is suppose to do _nothing_ to the signal you're feeding through it. It an anechoic room simulator, which means that it simulates a room that does not affect the sound.

Be kinda cool if it could remove verb like Paul suggests..I could find a use for a Verb-Killer effect..

Yes it does. If it's ideal.

No, it would not remove anything from the signal. How could it? If you try to record an impulse response in an anechoic room you'd get the same signal out as you put in.

That's because our brain has problems coping with such an "unnatural" environment. It's not like you're used to it. Each time I change to a new pair of glasses everything is visually distorted for a week or so. There's no pressure on your ear drums, it's just that hearing everything "dry" is freaky.

yay that could be very useful indeed

Post

yeah but since 1st of april is over by now, why not remove it? :(
