Hello,

I'm working on a track that'll no doubt get deleted in a few days out of sheer frustration, but in the meantime I'm looking for some cool sub drop kick drums (if that makes any sense). The kind that has no mid freqs and would often be used in D&B and the like. Despite having 10s of 1000s of samples I can't seem to find any (either that or I've too many samples and therefore can't find them).

Does anyone know of any good resources?

thx.

Doesn't a sine with a freq sweep do it for you?

cypher, I can sample some drop kicks if you want em from XR-909 if you need em..but they're pretty ubiquitous..I'm pretty sure you can get anything you need from, ah f**k..what's that vintage sample site, something 'Sun'..

:dog:

edit: Hollow Sun, yeah!

HI

Pitch shift a sample down?

There are some nice free tr808 samples on the net - I am sure you can drop one in your editor or sampler and play around pitching it up/down with your ketboard controller.

You might need to loop the sound if you want siome mega sustain.

While your at it layer a sub tone or whatever other sound you fancy to beef it up.

Flipper.

cheers sickle, that's almost what I'm after, but I want the pitch to drop over time - kinda down to inaudible levels if that makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I realise with 5000 odd posts here I should know everything by now, what can I say?
