Just wondering if SS2 passes AU validation (and is stable) in Logic 7 Pro (Mac). I can't seem to find any SS2 software updates - do any exist?
I'm upgrading to Mac soon and will be installing SS2 and ST2XL. I've been hearing about horror stories with Logic AU validation for various plug-ins, but I hear ST2XL works fine (aside from the GUI bug, which some people here seem to have).

I use it all the time in Logic 7.0.1 and it works great, Validates without any problems, infact I see No problems whatsoever, I Definitely recommend SS2, It is really a must have i think, I tend to not use the SS2 plug as I have ST2 and I tend to use the SS2 sounds in that, thats because I like to have everything in one place, and it allows me to Layer sounds from both soundsets, I have to say i Prefer the SS2 UI tho, but Layering is more important to me, But anyway it works great either way, so I would say you have one less thing to worry about

Thanks for the response! I already have SS2 and I love it - I've just been using it with Logic 5 (PC). I'm happy to hear it authorizes properly and runs well on the Mac in Logic 7.
I have Sampletank 2XL (and I also use this to load SS2 sounds), but I'm thinking about waiting to install the Mac version until I get the 2.1 upgrade (this way I don't have to burn another ST2XL authorization - down to my last one already). So, I'll be using the SS2 GUI for a while on the Mac.

Just a follow-up on my first message. Sampletank 2XL and Sonik Synth 2 are running well for me in Logic 7. The only thing I needed to do to pass AU validation was update ST2XL; no patches are necessary for SS2. By the way, I do not have that graphics bug that some Mac users have.

I used the 2.0.8.1 update available from the IK Multimedia user area. The update is dated 10/18/2004.
