Hey, what are some good hiss reduction or noise reduction plugins? Cool edit pro had a real nice one that allows you to copy a fingerprint of noise and remove that from a sound. Anything else like that out there?

You might want to take a look at our audio editor Acoustica or our DirectX plug-in suite for audio restoration - Studio Clean (http://www.acondigital.com). Both have fingerprint modes as well as automatic noise profile estimation.

Thanks everyone for suggestions. I tried voxengo, at first I couldn't figure it out, and now im trying out the acondigital

I use the Audition 1.5 (cooledit) one, but I've also heard good things about Ray Gun:

Ok, I tried Acon's and Voxengo's. Voxengo offers alot more precise control. Acon has a more simplistic strait forward interface. The sound quality is about matched for the two. Acon is more CPU friendly than Voxengo. Acon also offers more effect tools. I decided to go with Acon, thanks!

(I tested both of them on 24/96 vocal program material. Both performed excellent, it all depends what you're looking for).

You might want to look at Gapanessor. It actually comes with a amp sim called Cortex, but I've started to include it in most of my audio tracks. It does a great job and doesn't seem to color the sound at all.

thanks a bunch everybody. all of these plugins and programs im sure are great. i test drove a few of them, i ended up going with Acon for sure. So far it has worked great in cleaning up vocal program material

Yes I've tried several plugins to get rid of unwated noise but not much success in removing guitar background buzz the white or pink noise is out some of the gutar itself is removed out as well but AC/DC buzz still remain I've tried almost every noise and hum removal plugin. So what the f**k I should use to get rid of that.

if you've tried everything else and
- the noise you want to get rid of is pretty constant
- you can sample the noise and loop it
you could give Kn0ck0ut a go... you'll have to do a little work yourself, and it FFT/iFFTs the audio so you'll lose some fidelity, but it should kill the hum. & it's free.
