Yes -- but worth a bump every now and then, though.

Lovely samples, I wish each set was put in an archived and hopefully compressed file though to make them easier to download

I have the clarinet, flute, oboe, piano, trombone, and trumpet trimmed and combined into individual sf2s; if anybody has the space to spare, I can post them. Or I can email them to anybody who can handle large files. I assume sfpack is acceptable to everybody?
I made these using the now-expired demo of AWave when I had a lot of free time; I plan to trim and compile the rest of the instruments via sfz when I can. The strings are going to be a real bitch to do; first, I have to weed out the samples with poor tone or pitch (most of them, in fact), and then I intend to use randomizing to select which string to use (since most pitches exist on multiple strings).

Yes, these samples have been around for a while. I do have them all, and there are some gems in there. But as was said, there are many tuning errors that need to be fixed when you map them, mostly in the strings. But still worth downloading.

Would be great to get these - the Soundfonts section of The Auditorium would be a great place to post them :Jafo wrote:I have the clarinet, flute, oboe, piano, trombone, and trumpet trimmed and combined into individual sf2s; if anybody has the space to spare, I can post them.

It would be great if you could use Sfark instead so everyone had access :Jafo wrote: I assume sfpack is acceptable to everybody?

There's tuning errors in a lot, some digital buzzing (whatever might have caused it, defenitely wasn't the recording level...) on a few and certainly not enough recording level on all of those samples (some are like around -40dB).
Let alone cutting and mapping them properly is quite a cumbersome experience.
I did a truly great french horn patch out of them though.
