I have a Triton Rack that has the Vintage Archives, Dance Extreme, and MOSS expansion boards. I also have Cubase SX3.

I am trying to find a patch script for these expansion boards. I have no way of using them within Cubase at the moment. Can anyone help me out?

Well, I've asked on boards all over the net and nobody seems to have those patch files. So, can anyone tell me how to make them myself? Any good tutorials or instructions to make those patch files?

Man you didn't try very hard. I typed in "Korg Triton Patch Script Cubase" in google and got a list as long as my arm. .000 seconds.

here is one of the returns

Yes, I already have both of the Triton Rack scripts from that site. That's what I've been using. What I need now are scripts for the Expansion Boards. Those scripts don't have them, they only have the patches for the Triton Rack. Well, one of the scripts has patches for one of the expansion boards, but only one.

All you have to do is open the scripts in a text editor and replace the patch names and controller ID from the expansion doc.

{edit}and rename the resulting file, hehehe

Not sure what you mean. So, I opened one up in notepad, and wow, LOL.

So, I have no idea how to do this. I need a controller ID and a patch name? I'm assuming I can get those from the users manual. But I don't know how it all goes. I can't make any sense out of the patch file I looked at in notepad. Seriously, if you get a chance take a look at that Triton Rack + EXB patch script from the link you posted. I opened it up in notepad and had no clue what I needed to do with it.

Is there some patch script creator or something out there that I can use? And what information would I need to get out of the expansion board owner's mauals?

There is a text file in the patch script directory of cubase that tells you how this is layed out. But if you can't look at that list and figure it out I'm a hair discouraged. I mean jesus man,

[g1]Keyboard

you think that might stand for the keyboard group?

[p2,1,0,0]A001 Acoustic Piano

you think that might be level 2 and the first patch, with the patch name listed?

It isn't that complicated. Someone else took the time to give you that layout. Your book that came with the triton expansions has the complete patch list.

Okay, so I took the patch file that says it includes the EXB, and I changed all the patch names in the appropriate banks. Now my Vintage Archives and Dance Extreme work fine. The problem now is, the patch file didn't have anything for the MOSS, and didn't have bank F listed at all. So there was nothing for me to change to get the MOSS working. So I will have to manually type everything in for the MOSS to work. Does anyone know the format for this? Let me give you an example, here are the first 3 lines from the Vintage Archives bank:

[g1]Vintage Archives Expansion Board
[p2,0,0,8]A000 Synth Brass
[p2,1,0,8]A001 6oow Bass

So, does anyone know how I would code one for the MOSS in bank I-F? I don't know what all that p2,0, stuff means.

Also, is it normal for the MOSS to show up in I-F when the Triton Rack is in Program mode, or should it be in E-F? Oh yeah, and how can I make the Triton Rack go into Multi mode by default when I turn it on?
