ST2XL on PC or MAC?

I am going to buy ST2XL...I am also considering getting a macmini as a 2nd computer. I doubt the macmini will be adequite for my audio work, so I plan to continue to use SONAR 2 on my PC DAW. Would I get better performance using ST2 on the PC alongside SONAR, or using it on the Mac (midi'd up to inputs on PC (MAudio Omni)?

PC spec's: 2.4Ghz, 1G 2700RAM, Win2000
Macmini: 1.24Ghz, 512 Ram, OS X

Probably better on the PC but that Minimac sure is nice.
