Just got from the Fishbone show in Baton Rouge. They stopped by for a pre Jazz Fest show. Half the band didn't make it. Long story short the show was shit. Say no to drugs children. I've already read that book and it doesn't have a happy ending.

That's sad. I saw them a bunch of times in the early nineties / late eighties, and I still have yet to see anything that could top the energy of those shows back then.Rhett wrote:Just got from the Fishbone show in Baton Rouge. OT - Met Edie Brickell at one of Fishbone's shows back in the 80s, before "What I Am" came out. I didn't know who she was, except that she was quite easy on the eyes, and real cool taboot. I guess one could say I was hitting on her. She let me down easy....damn Paul Simon.
Um....

Sorry to hear that, although their most recent recorded work had led me to suspect a decline.Rhett wrote:Just got from the Fishbone show in Baton Rouge. They stopped by for a pre Jazz Fest show. I too, saw them in the early nineties: with Primus and the rest at Lalapalooza. They just ROCKED!! So much talent.....
Kinda sad, really.

but, if you think about it, isn't gonig to see a show really a kind of drug?
i mean you pay for it, then you expect it to make you feel good.
i say instead of being a stupid society we just decide to be autonomous fishbone and make up songs and stuf instead of building f**king drill presses and thinger blower uppers.
