How do you find loop regions???

How can I add loop regions into my multi-samples? Is it a case of doing it manually or is there a great tool out there that'll do it for me?

I'm using WaveLab which is kickass for that kind of job - but of course, it's not exactly cheap. I heard Zero-X seamless looper is doing a great job too.
