Anyone already bought Crysonic Spectralive?

I bought it a few days ago. I tried the demo, and found it sounded rather nice on vocal tracks (with moderate settings). I think the results when using it on a complete mix are a bit too much though. Using HarBal, I compared an original track to the same one processed with Spectralive, and found that besides the obvious rise in levels in lower and higher frequency ranges, some mid-low frequencies were actually attenuated, which I didn't like.

Yeah I bought it. Getting some cool results now, altough took a little bit of getting used to it. Not sure which is better bbe or this, but for this price, there is no question.

I got Spectralive yesterday for just 20 Euros. This is actually what I was searching: a (better) alternative to BBE. It works really great for me. But the presets are shit. Completely useless. Much too much coloring! But if you adust it very carefully it can even be used in mastering, although I would generally tend to use it more on single tracks (vocals, guitar, bass).

I purchased spectralive today after using the demo for a while, that beep was driving me crazy:), I already have BBE and had it for almost a year now. I agree with AKJ, the presets are not very good at all, but I manage to get very good results quickly and using it more then BBE atm. I mostly use it on seperate tracks as well, primarily on the lead, pads, and bass. Great plugin for the price.

Bought it some days ago, am using it on instrument tracks (especially on sampled drumkits - to make them cut through a band mix - and on vocals and on grand pianos) and even in the master bus. I used VintageWarmer in the master bus, and FinalMix, but now I only use Spectralive. Happy with it (careful not to overdo it though).
The funny thing is: One gets *used* to this effect very much. THis means that I can hardly listen to my stuff *without* Spectralive now...
Did not like the fancy interface design that makes it look like a high-end stereo component, I found it "too tempting" to play around with - I prefer audio tools with neutral interfaces

Just looked at the crysonic site and they have a new news item, apparently spectralive will come in two flavors soon.
Also, I downloaded this program called Adapt-x for media player that allows you to run DirectX plugs, and converted spectralive to a directX plug with another program and it works great in media player. Using it (very low settings) on all my mp3 music.Spectralive will soon come in two GUI versions, the current style and a vertical fader style GUI as per our user requests. All our current and future customers will receive this update automatically!

I think e-modic says many listeners apply a Vitaliser to their mp3s. Mastering just got even more difficult...

We Bought two copies of spectralive yesterday and using it in mastering (first in the fx chain as others have sugested). The algorithms are vague but fun to play around with and sound great. I realy don't care how spectralive was made and as a 20 year muso I learned to trust my ears:)However it does take a little time to get used to this effect. It is great value at $24.95 I reckon..

I had bought it, and worked with it for a few days now: The presets are not very good (and the effect is too strong in some presets), it took me time to find settings that worked.
I also use Spectralive as a plugin in the master bus -- before that I tried with FinalMix and VintageWarmer to get the mix I want. But after a few tests, I found that I can get my desired sound the easiest way with a simple combination of Endorphin and Spectralive in the master bus. Seems to work. And now I cannot listen to a mix that does not have Spectralive in it. Strange but true. If I deactivate it, something is missing and it sounds dull. I am glad to have this effect now.
