What is the difference between an xml file and a txt file (Cubase patch files)? Is one better than the other? Why would anyone use an xml file when it's easier to create a txt file?

Does anyone have a good txt Cubase patch file for the Fantom XR? There is a great xml file floating around (even on Roland's web site) but it is only organized into banks. I want to make one organized into catagories. There is a txt Cubase patch file floating around that has catagories, but it doesn't work for me for some reason. I would just edit the xml file but I don't know anything about xml and when I read it, I can't make any sense out of it.

Does anyone know the right format for a txt patch file on the Fantom XR? For example, here are a few lines from the txt file that doesn't work:
[g2] Preset-A
[p3,0,87,71] Grand XV
[p3,1,87,71] Contemplate
[p3,2,87,71] Hall Grand

[g2] Preset-B
[p3,0,87,72] Thick Steel
[p3,1,87,72] XV SteelGt
[p3,2,87,72] SteelRelease

I'm not sure if these particular lines work or not, but as a whole, the file isn't any good.

So, it looks like the 71 means bank A, and 72 means bank B. Can someone confirm that this is the correct format? This patch file doesn't work and I have no idea why, so I need to find out before I try to make my own.

What exactly does that p3 mean anyway? Man, this looks more complicated than the Triton Rack file I recently tweaked to my liking. Heck, does anyone know of a Fantom XR txt file that works? This would be much easier if I had a working file I could just edit.
