Help: Havent got a clue!

Hi, I have just found this site the other day, and started to download instruments and effects. I have tried a few, including a mellotron, a couple of strings, organ and a Mini Moog replica. Unfortunately, only the Moog works, becuse it is an .exe file. A lot of these are in .dll format, which I dont know about. Do I need some other program to use these, and if so what?

You need to copy the .dll file to your VST folder (depending on which host program you're using ie: FL, Sonar, Cubase, etc...). From there you simply open the instrument from the host and viola....
