it´s from a new channelstrip that i´m working on.
it´s a bit dark but when finished you will be able to turn on/off lights :hihi:
EDIT: it looks even more sexy when in action  :hihi:

to much shadows and to blurry..is it the .jpg compression?

I like the LED's tho'

Post

yeah perhaps to heavily compressed i will make it better - and regarding shadows, as i said in this picture "lights" are turned off. when switched on it will look.....like.......wait i make screeny :D

so, why is it important to be able to turn the lights on/off?

Post

Other than a couple of aliased white bits it looks very nice to me. Assuming the low-contrast markings will be "lit up" somehow so they'll be readable.

My only criticism is that it takes up a good chunk of display space and doesn't use it all for stuff you can poke or twist or slide about. ;-) Condensing the GUI would probably lose some of the sexy look, though, wouldn't it?

[edit] And yes, why not just "leave the lights on for us?"

Post

Dunno why but the knobs dont look quite right with those really big drop-shadows. And the fact that they're so large makes it long 'wrong' when they dont shadow other knobs....

Tried them with a lower profile?

Plus what Meffy said about screenspace.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Post

@snooky: just for fun ;)

@meffy: mhh not sure, but perhaps - yes - condensing it would make it loose the "nice" look somehow, i think... :P

Also, if you're trying to make the gui look realistic, then why the tigh spacing with the small knobs...no hardware would have the knobs so close to eachother. It would be impossible to use them!

Post

mhhhh....the same with more "light":

snooky: whoops you´re right - but i think isnt going to be a prob since this is software :)

whyterabbyt: will try that, perhaps the shadows are just too heavy - but i like them :D

Soft shadows would make it a lot sexier. :D

Sorry, but I don't think it looks sexy to have your knobs packed tightly together like sardines. Those things need some room. :hihi:

HI

If you really want sexy; how about the shadow of a nipple errect female breast passing over the gui - this might be pretty dark shadowing - especially usefull as a NAG screen for the demo, perhaps?

PS, what happerned to the pitch shift addition to ' E-Fex Pneumo4' - now I know doing the art work for
'nipple errect female breasties' is fun, but ...
