Hi fellow KVRs, I've got to share this with those who use Convolution reverbs, like SIR, and are not aware of this company.

I have been looking for good Convolution IRs for some time. I found a lot of free IR's but nothing that really caught my ears.

I was recently searching KVR and found a thread that mentioned Spirit Canyon Audio's files so I checked them out. They have a special pricing on a Convolution Bundle for $50.99, if you download the files.

I purchased the set and downloaded the two CD sets.

Nice stuff!!! If you're looking for some of the best Convolution IRs around, then do yourself a favor, check outSpirit Canyon Audio. Specifically their Convolution Bundle.

There is a lot of inspirational stuff here that will definitely fuel your creative juices.

Now before you throw out your Troll Nets, I am not affiliated with SC, just wanted to share a good find.

Just sharing,

Why? Darrell Burgan of Spirit Canyon is a KVR regular and a very sound guy.

really man....darrel's not gonna do shit like that. Why can no-one praise a product without being attacked for being part of the company they are praising. get a life people.

Regardless of anything you are trying to suggest, the Spirit Canyon IR's are of high quality, with many different sounds / atmospheres / whatever it should be named. Not just to simulate a reverb, but their IR's are effects on their own, and can be used instead of other effects (e.g. filters, chorus/flanger, etc). There's even a set of IR's tuned to specific BPM's :)

Just listen to the demos on the site and try their sample IR's. In addition to SIR they go very well with Convo Boy and Voxengo Pristine Space (Light) as well :D. I wouldn't have all 3 sets if I didn't like them!

I downloaded the demo-files you get there and, for sure, the stuff is worth the money they are asking for it. but if you happen to have a lot of sampling cds with fx-, athmo- and beat loops (like me), then you won't need these cds. just try it: take any fx loop/sound-file you got and load it into your convolution plugin. experience the sound.

Fishy... :?: Take a Certs, it might be your breath

Now, let me take off this stupid Troll Net. I'm innocent.

Seriously, these are the nicest IRs I've heard. If you don't believe me, it's your loss. :hihi: :hihi:

P.S. Check out my tag line... :hihi:

Take care,

Ooops! I really apologise if anyone took it the wrong way. I was joking of course!

It's just that the product appraisal threads I have seen recently seemed to receive that sort of response... and it came natural to me to make a joke about this one. It would be illogical to make such a claim for somebody with that many posts and that registration date in kvr. So I thought it would be immediately apparent that it was a joke.

I sincerely apologise!

Anyone who knows me knows that I would never accuse myself of being sound. :hihi: :hihi:

Thanks for the kind words y'all. For the record: I rely on word of mouth for *all* of my sales, and the folks who purchase my products have been extremely supportive this way. All I can say is that people have been very willing to support these products, and I'm very grateful for it.

I received all 3 cd's of IR's from Spirit Canyon Audio this weekend...not had enough time to really enjoy them yet, but they are good impulses. It should be noted to anyone checking out this thread in the hope of getting realistic impulses of concert halls etc, that these are for creative/sound design use, so you'll need to look elsewhere for 'real' spaces.
