Greetings again KVR.

We are planning our release schedule for the rest of the year and would like your input.

We are currently working on a soundset for the concreteFX Kubik VSTi and around the same time, we will be releasing a massive addon rom for our own PS-1 Synthesizer. However, after those 2 are on the table, we have quite a few projects lined up, and would like to hear your opinions on what you would like to see first. Just to inform all of you as to what we are up to over here, we are also working on updating most of our older soundsets (I.E. The daAlpha2k Collection and daHornet Collections, as well as others) and, belive it or not, we've got a monster new VSTi in the works...but that is still top secret info, so more to come.

So, please answer to the poll in this thread and we will complete and release the planned soundsets in an order relative to the popularity of each.

Thank you for your time. :)

by the way: what do you mean with e.g. Imageline Sytrus Set? just sampled presets? :) or what exactly?

No, not sampled presets. We don't work with samples very often. They would be presets programmed on and loadble within sytrus.

just like our presets for any other synth.

oops... I voted Vertigo by accident, but I don't have it. tbh I don't have any of these synths...

Don't worry M'snaH, we will be covering plenty of other synths. Our forum should be back up sooner or later as well, so there will be a special section for people to give us requests.

Also, as well as concentrating on alot of new releases this year, we're also planning quite a few new FreeSetz, as we haven't released any in a while. Including an updated "Ethnicity" bank for EMM Knagalis which will include 2 new sounds (a santur and a new hybrid) as well as updated presets.

The freesetz I am currently working on are for the Logic EVD6 and EVB3, a few for some concreteFX synths, possibly the Combosister VSTi, and many more to be excited about.

Thanks to everyone who has voted so far, keep voting please.

:)

From a business perspective, I can't believe you would work on anything before a Sytrus bank. Sytrus is notoriously lacking in good patches (it only comes with a couple hundred compared to the 700+ for its close competitors), there are NO commercial banks available, and ImageLine just completed a major group buy that added hundreds of potential customers. Sounds like profit to me (and thousands of other Sytrus owners) -- just keep the price reasonable.

I agree that sytrus would be a great place to start...
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Well, it is really looking like the sytrus collection will be the first to be completed anyway due to polling results thus far. Keep in mind, all of these sets will indefinitely be released this year, this poll is just to answer the question of which ones we release first.

Also, it's not in the list, becuase I would like to wait until version 2 is out, but we are also planning an EVE sampleset/preset addon that we will be making with luigi. When and how it will see the light of day I do not know, but it will.

So at the moment, it is looking like I will be completing the Kubik set (working title is "Kubikation") which will contain 256 presets spread accross 8 categories (32 presets in each) and then I'll be finishing up the new waverom and preset addon for the PS-1. Alot of good sounds in this new PS-1 addition, harpsichords, electric Pianos, vintage synth sounds and waveforms, more odd sound fx both synthetic and real, some plucked strings (banjo, guitar, etc.) and other acoustic instruments. Should make the PS-1 even more versatile in your songs. It will be available for free to registered users only, so pick up your PS-1 now! ;) Check out the review in CM86 too, there is also an interview with me.

Thank you for all your feedback!

cool

btw what format will those Sytrus presets be? I've been told that the FL plugin version userbase was much bigger than the VSTi, so releasing FST files is something you could consider. It's easier to build a VSTi FXB out of separate presets than to split a FXB. Of course in all cases presets can be copied, but it's one by one.

Patch arrangement is better in FL native, too. It's cool having all of my patches on one screen instead of having to load separate banks. Also, if possible keep the Sytrus naming structure (Patch type - name, eg Bass -- Lately9).

the sytrus naming structure is gonna change with a future release. 'Category - name.fst' will be just 'Category\Name.fst' and FL will display subfolders (but also on 1 screen because I prefer that way as well).
