Anyone know of a VST that would let me bring the bit rate down to 12 or 8 bits or something? Sorry If I am a little off here, I just need something to lower the bit rate.

CamelPhat 3 can do that. If you just want to do bit reduction, then I suspect there's some freeware to do it (check the KvR listings). If you want to do a lot more cool phattening, distorting stuff then check out the link in my sig.

MDA degrade is the best for free. It comes with the MDA bundle

Looking for a certain effect
