I'm about to make a remix and i got the original data in pro tools format from what i can guess
The file structure of the cd i received is like this
/songname/audio files/
/songname/plug-in settings/
/songname/session file backups/
I tried using protools free to access the data but i'm under xp
I have several files in the /songname/audio files/ that look like audio files but i wonder how i could open them.
I tried to find and omf file that i could import in cubase but there is no such file. I'm thinking on contacting the guy to get a useable export but maybe there anyone knows how i could use the audio data ? is there any format converter that i could use.

Just found a solution in another post : i used the programs sdtwowav and could export in wav 48khz 24bit (the format used in the recording)!
