Drum loops for hire...

Saw this add today on Craigslist:

"HI. I enjoy producing music in my home digital recording studio and need some drum loops to add to my songs. I play guitar but do not play drums.
Will pay fair price. I use pro tools and would need them in wav format on cd for my pc based system. Thanks for reading my ad."

What do you think? What do you think a "Fair Price" would be?

I mean, he cold go buy an acid loop cd from $30-$200, but I would give him exactly the sound he wants.

perhaps you could negotiate a relatively low price for the time, but also get a writing or producing credit? At the very least, make sure that you are credited on any official releases, etc.

I'd say $45 an hour or more would be fair, with a 3 hour minimum.

He emailed me back. It looks like he wants a loop cd with a variety of genaric drum loops. I was thinking I could make a CD with a bunch of loops on it, an sell it too him. I have some ACID loop CDs myself, I could write up a license agreement similar to thoes CDs. Maybe sell it for like $50 or something, depending on how much work I did on it. Sound like a good idea?

If I made the CD I might as well sell it off my website too. Unless I specificaly license the loops to him.
