Oh yes indeedy !!

Zero-X Seamless Looper

It's a bloomin' marvellous piece of software and a bargain to boot at $40. I've used it to create many samples, including the Fairlight Library I am currently working on ;)

Yes, please do. I wouldn't be without it. It is so damned useful and simple to use :) I swear by it :) Even my mate Steve from Hollow Sun (a dedicated Infinity user) was impressed by it :)

Grab the Demo now !! :hihi:

One thing I don't get about their products is how they have several apps that seem to do roughly the same thing and there's so much overlap of function it's difficult to really choose between them - isn't there one that does it all rather than buying several smaller appps to cover all looping type tasks?

That alternative loop thingie is just impressive

Wouldn't really know as I haven't tried their other stuff, mainly because I have ReCycle for that kind of stuff, but at $40, Seamless Looper is an absolute steal for what it does :)

Yes, isn't it ! :hihi:

Put it this way, I scoured the net for something like this, almost resigning myself to the fact I might need to get a Mac, and then I found this, tried the demo and 20 minutes later I had bought the full product. I went to work on some material I had, gave it to Steve at Hollow Sun and he couldn't believe the quality of the loops. He promptly put my donations of a Yamaha CS1x and Korg Prophecy on Hollow Sun. A compliment indeed.

I got all excited and went to check out Seamless Looper. Too bad it's PC only. What is there like this for Macs?

There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres. Pythagoras

Er, for MAC's you have Infinity, which is why this thread was started....to find a PC alternative to Infinity :dog:

geoffrey is probably running OS X. Infinity is great, probably still the best looping tool around – but it’s OS 9 only. A real shame. :(

Hi Yossarian, You are psychic! I am running OSX. Is there something on this level for OSX? Thanks!

On the same level as Infinity? Nothing that I’m aware of. Audio editors like Peak and DSP-Quattro have decent enough looping tools, but they’re not in the same league. Infinity is a one-trick pony - it only does looping but it does it better than any other app I know.

Well..... it is good but not a patch on Infinity - it still leaves occasional HF clicks in loops. Nothing that can't be usually removed by nudging either the loop start or loop end backwards or forwards a sample point or two (perhaps needing a simple xfade too) but it can give good results ... certainly better than attempting it manually. And $40 is an absolute steal (especially compared with Infinity's $300+ asking price :o)

To my knowledge, there is no equivalant to Infinity for OSX and to my knowledge, no plans to port it either :(
