In the next few weeks Bardstown Audio will be releasing "Jazz Drums and Latin Percussion," which will feature a most extensive assortment of the very best jazz cymbals and drums with goat skin heads, which make for a most desirable sound with considerable warmth, wide selection of Zildjian Constantinople and Zildjian K Custom Cymbals and Hi-Hats, and a huge selection of Latin Percussion with significant detail.

This prized collection of "Jazz Drums and Latin Percussion" will be available in Giga Studio 3, Kontakt, Kompakt, HALion, EXS24, and Battery formats.

Listed below is a preview of the basic jazz drum kit featuring both wood tip and nylon tip 7A jazz drum sticks. The brush kit will feature very similar mapping and layout as the basic jazz drum kit with sticks, but will feature wire brushes on the drums and wire brushes and dread locks on the cymbals and hi-hats.

The Latin Percussion Kit will be featuring everything from Congas (Tumbadora, Conga, Quinta), Bongos, Timbales with both drum head and drum shell samples, Triangles, Castanets, Guiro, Cabasa, assortment of shakers, Cow Bells, Agogo Bells, Bar Chimes, Sleigh Bells, Zildjian Finger Cymbals, Vibra Slap, Slap Stick, Samba Whistle, Wood Block, plus much more.

All drum samples feature both left and right hand sticking with many velocities. The featured drums in the Jazz Drum Set are Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute, consisting of a 20 X 16 Kick Drum, 14 X 4 Snare Drum, 12 X 8 Mounted Tom, and a 14 X 14 Floor Tom, which is the most ideal and traditional setup for a jazz drum set.

All drums, cymbals, and percussion have been sample recorded with overhead omni mic'ing techniques, which is the best method for the best sounding jazz drums and percussion. 130 Volt DPA B&K 4003 omni mic's, Millennia HV3B Mic Preamps, Benchmark Converters, Magix Sequoia 8, and a great sounding room, were used to sample record all of these beautiful instruments.
